Ana has been teaching quilting since 1986. We had time to visit with old friends, made new ones ….

Loved the rustic and cozy feel of the place and the fact that our boys were able to hang out together while we could relax in the comfortable common area. Would just like to say that this little guest lodge was the perfect location for my daughters wedding!!! Ana is a frequent contributor to Quilting Arts Magazine and has appeared in several seasons of Quilting Arts TV. Our hosts Kelly and Kit were very welcoming and made you feel at home. The little french toast were delicious with maple syrup and whipping cream. The rooms we're bigger than I thought they would be and the beds sooooo comfortable everyone in our group commented on it. We were served a delicious homemade breakfast each morning by the pool. The background is a Carolyn Friedlander fabric from her Architextures collection with Robert Kaufman. The kids had microwave popcorn and some hot chocolate provided by the lodge.

The lodge is gorgeous and very clean. The top floor, which you can see in the photo above, was where they had the sale fabric and some antiques for sale. Lovely rooms. We were served a delicious homemade breakfast each morning by the pool. So, off I went to the retreat. Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment. Staff are friendly and helpful. I loved the attention to detail: pool toys and life jackets, eye makeup remover, microwavable popcorn, snacks in the fridge etc. We are definately going to stay there again. Kelly and Kit were excellent hosts and were very accommodating to our needs. The accommodations were very comfortable. But I just couldn’t bring myself to go. The pool was great and week used by us. more. ★ It is time to do what you want, when you want, and how you want.

I loved it, and thought it would be a good match for the quilt, so I managed to sew two tops, one with red and one with green fabric. Friendly owners and staff. It takes about 2 hours or so to drive up (if you are not in a hurry and are stopping for photos, shopping, etc. Loved the rustic and cozy feel of the place and the fact that our boys were able to hang out together while we could relax in the comfortable common area. Please see our partners for full details. We are within 5 minutes from much of what Sundre has to offer! On Saturday after lunch, some of the ladies and I took a break from sewing and went for a walk down to the creek. This last week was the annual Fall quilt retreat in Sundre. Breakfast was poolside and included in the room price. The space was inviting and clean. The weather was beautiful.

Thanks Rustlers! PS:  I love to hear from you so feel free to drop me a note and tell me what you are working on. Room are clean and comfy. Ana loves traditional quilting techniques but started using innovative machine techniques and surface design techniques around 2002. I went to a quilting retreat with members of the Millarville Guild at Pioneer Camp close to Sundre. We had multiple families there and had a great time. Sundre is the "Heart of the West Country" making us your perfect location for a recreational getaway, corporate retreat or any function. I finished the red pillow yesterday. The location is convenient to Sundre and area activities and I would travel back to this place for another visit.

Prices above are provided by partners for one room, with variable occupancy rules as provided by the property, and do not include all taxes and fees. The space was clean, nicely renovated and tastefully decorated.

Well … despite the fact that I had said I didn’t “need” anything …, I ended buying some more black and white fabrics for the quilt I was working on. The food was amazing (!!). The “You are in Bear Country” is well known, but I still like to see it and I am reminded that wildlife is still out there, despite buildings, roads, cars, etc. I love signs … all kinds, all shapes, all colours. I was at the Lodge for a ladies scrapbooking weekend and it was perfect. Our stay was Truly a home away from home!

Definitely would recommend!

We even had a family of deer come right to the window. Love when retreaters truly enjoy the weekend!!!
