I like the books for bedtime reading because things always work towards a satisfying conclusion that affirms our belief in the basic goodness of humankind. It's such a page turner you loose precious sleep wanting to read just 'one more chapter'. I chanced upon the series on Netflix and was instantly hooked.
I was watching the series on Netflix but it had only one season. This is the first book that I have read by this author and it definitely won't be the last. I loved how Robyn Carr created such a believable small town setting with great characters.
I love a good romance but instantly got annoyed with the way Carr writes about women: as if women in their late forties should be praised for 'keeping her figure' and 14 year old girls slut shamed for showing their midriff.
