I’ve started dusting off the Ol’ collection of AC games and decided to pick up unity again for the second time since 2014. The parkour is just so good. Paris is incredibly and I wish they'd doubled down on dense cities instead of bloated, shallow maps, particularly in Odyssey.
Funny enough Unity wasn’t even the best AC game releasing on that day. It has some good ideas, but it's decidedly mid-tier …

I completed Unity (with Dead Kings) years ago and I still play it every few months, simply because I enjoy it so much...both for gameplay and aesthetics. I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan here and just beat Unity today for the second time. Not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I think overall, it should be positive. :).
After the leaked footage of Valhalla I can say for sure that Unity is still the best AC we've got. Its the best AC game of this gen indeed. You were actually an assassin in a city which felt so alive. Yeah, no. Having replayed Unity recently, it's not as bad as I remember it being, but it is in no way the best AC game. They became too concerned with influencing the trappings of power and got too entangled with the old order that the Revolution doomed them. Thank you, finally someone who recognizes AC Unity's greatness.
I recently beat the main story a few months ago, and I’m soon gonna get back into it so I can play/beat ‘Dead Kings’.
It's beautiful in ways that few games have matched this generation, and I like it a lot, but tedium sets in fairly early. How the fuck you make a game that the main story doesn't even go to some of the districts? Ubi slept on It having way better graphics does not make it a better game.
The parkour is amazing and the combat and stealth was better than future titles. Unity is popular. Unity looked nicer but felt like an inferior copy with inferior characters and modern day story. It’s a tragedy on many levels: Arno loses everyone he cares about. As someone who has played every AC only 1 and 3 are worse games in the series. You guys loving Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and/or Fuser? Really hope it gets another shot. It also has co-op.
Unity is the best AC game next to 2. Happy to hear you enjoyed it yourself! People knock the story but I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay.
